Detailed Steps for VOCOM II (88894000) Firmware Installation

Tech Tool Version 2.6 and newer
1.Search and Download all available updates via Client Update.
2.Access the Volvo Vocom II Configuration Application
(reference pg. 4 -6 for instructions)

Tech Tool version 2.5
1.Visit www.premiumtechtool.com/technical- support/ under “Adapters and Firmware Updates” section to obtain/save the latest VOCOM II driver file to your computer.
2.Install the VOCOM II driver.
(reference next page for instructions)
3.Access the VOCOM II Configuration Application

Follow these instructions only if you downloaded the driver from the website.
1. Locate the saved file and extract the file contents.

2. Open the folder and Install (double click) the file.

Vocom II Configuration Application
1. On your PC, go to Start, All Programs. Click on VOCOM II folder and then click to launch the VOCOM II Configuration Application.

2. Plug the VOCOM II into the PC USB port. The VOCOM II will display under “All devices”
Please note: Serial Number (SN) differs. Do not connect to the vehicle at this time.
3. When you receive the “Please update device firmware” pop up message. Click the to continue.

4. Open Tech Tool and go to “Setting” to configure the adapter settings.
Here you can select the VOCOM II and then “Activate” to enable.
Next, click OK to close window.
Please note: VOCOM I and VOCOM II use different drivers and must be activated separately.

Run JPRO Commercial Vehicle Diagnostics
After communication connection build,it show you with the truck information
Click “Bi-Directional” on menu

Select “Road and Cruise Speed”,then click “Start”

To change the following vehicle road speed limits enter the desired value in the Update Value column highlighted in yellow and select the program button.
Input “80” in Max Vehicle Speed
And input “80” in Cruise Control Vehicle Speed High Limit
Click “Program”

Click “OK”

Click “Continue”

Please key on ignition and click “Continue”

Problem: KT200 ECU Programmer was interrupted to copy files, it prompts a “UpdateFirmware.exe — Errore di sistema”(Update Firmware.exe — System Error)

Solution

The reason why caused the error is because the antivirus software is not disabled during KT200 installation.

To solve the issue, please close all antivirus software, then re-download & re-install KT200 software.

About functions:
Regard VAG, if you want to open the 5th IMMO authorization, you need to open the 4th IMMO first. Because 5th is derivatived from 4th.

For BMW:
Only BMW OBD is opened. Then you can open CAS4 authorization.

Component security function of VVDI 1, it will be valid after you open the authorization for pin,mac and CS reading authorization. For VVDI 2,you can directly use component security function. Go to special function. you will find the component security option for A4,A5,A6,A8,Q5,Q7,Allroad.

Q: I do have BMW X5 from 2013+ , it’s F15 with CAS4+ I guess and 5M48H, it has all keys lost. What equipment I should buy from you to make a new key.
A: 1) For 5M48H, you need to use XPROG or VVDI pro to read the date
2) Use BMW MULTI TOOL or VVDI 2 do CAS4+, and use the data you read out to generate the key data to match programming and simultaneous car
For second steps. If you choose BMW MULTI TOOL, you still need to buy the CAS4 adapter. If you choose VVDI2, then no need to buy others.

Q: I want to open component security function. what should i do?
A: For this function. If you want to use, you need to open pin,mac reading,CS authorization then can use. If you have bought the condor key cutting machine. Then this authorization is free to open. Please give us your name/country/EmailVVDI SN/ VVDI2 SN / CONDOR SN. If you do not bought CONDOR key cutting machine, then cannot open this authorization.

A: This is normal. Once the day become 1, you just need to connect interent. Then it will be back to 30 days again. This is setted by Xhorse company to avoid others crack their software.

Both KT200/KTM200 and PCMTuner Magic Car Tool support reading ECU data on Mitsubishi Outlander E6T70484. The difference lies in the operating mode. KT200 is in Tool Boot while PCMTuner is via OBD.

The difference between KT200 and PCMTuner:

KT200 does not require activation, install software and ready to use. pcmtuner does require activation. KT200 must work online. PCMtuner works offline and VR need online. KT200 is available with 10 optional languages, free to change language in software.

PCMTUNER flash supports English and Russian only.

KT200 is based on Geniune fgtech. Fgtech is the best for old cars, for newer you must do in bench or boot, no OBD. No OBD for sid208, no OBD for BMW Fxx, no OBD for new Nissan/Renault SID309/310 edc17c84. But in one tool you have OBD, BDM, JTAG, Boot and Bench mode. But for BDM you must use their adapter. It has edc16/med9/edc7 bench mode, and work very well.

Pcmtuner is based on pcmflash software, it works pretty good on bench mode, boot and OBD. It has tuner account, free VR files and damaos for users.

KT200 supports more ECUs and TCUs, more protocols inside and has JTAG and BDM. But it doesn’t have tuner account, tuning service and wiring diagrams. KT200 can do much more TCUs than PCMtuner, such as VOLVO MPS6, VAG DQ400E/SQ100, Jeep 9h28 TCUs.
